My dad was an English professor, so I grew up with an in-house editor and rooms full of books. He helped me with everything from my first book report to my high school graduation speech. Having experienced the benefits of a knowledgeable, compassionate editor, I strive to be that for my clients.
I have a BS in agriculture from Cornell University and a Copyediting Certificate from UC San Diego Extension. I’ve been running a small farm with my family since 1999, and I became a certified Kripalu yoga teacher in 2013. I am currently working part-time towards an MPS in environmental studies at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
I like working with clients who want to build long-lasting relationships. I especially enjoy editing non-fiction works concerned with (but not limited to):
- science
- nature & the environment
- ecology
- agriculture
- yoga & health
- small business
- building a better world
I love editing because I learn something from every document I work on. If I come across something tricky or new, I research it! I have training and experience, but I also have a shelf of reference books within an arm’s length of my desk.
