I can work with you on everything from a light proofread to a heavy developmental edit. What’s important to me is that you get the level of editing you want.

I enjoy collaborating with authors to produce clean, clear, cohesive documents. With an eye for detail and a background in science, I prefer working on nonfiction. I work with students, self-published authors, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit businesses.

Because I’ve been self-employed for twenty years, I know the importance of open, honest communication. I am dependable, genuine, and capable of juggling multiple demands and meeting tight deadlines.

cut ups I go through everything I work on three times. First, I read for rhythm, tone, structure, and flow. I skim for themes and to get a feel for the author’s voice. On my second pass, I dig into the details, suggesting changes in grammar, syntax, and punctuation, and also making improvements for clarity and coherence. I am respectful of the intentions of the author, using language that blends seamlessly with the text. On my third time through the document, I hide my changes to make sure I haven’t missed anything and that my suggestions would be invisible to another reader.

If you choose to work with me, I will edit your document for:
